Clive Spiegler began his career in the pharmaceutical industry in 1989 as a Chemist at Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd. in Basel, Switzerland. With offices around the world, Hoffmann-La Roche specializes in both pharmaceuticals and diagnostics. In 1994, the young professional rose to a higher position, that of Senior Project Manager for the New Formulation Project Team working on the drug, Invirase. During his time in the role, Clive Spiegler completed and submitted all of the necessary documentation to regulatory bodies in the United States and the European Union. After two years, his successes and hard work were recognized with a promotion to Project Leader. Since working at Hoffmann-La Roche, Clive Spiegler has served as an International/Global Team Leader at Knoll Pharmaceutical Company, where he was responsible for the global development of the rheumatoid arthritis drug, Humira. Following the acquisition of Knoll Pharmaceutical Company by Abbott Laboratories, Clive Spiegler played an important role in the creation on the Abbott Immunoscience Development Center in Parsippany, New Jersey, where he worked as a Venture Head and Global Project Head for Humira, and later as the Head of Global Strategic Operations. In 2003, Clive Spiegler moved to Abbott Laboratories’ Maidenhead, United Kingdom, office to work as the Senior Manager of the HIV Business Unit, and in 2005, he brought his skills to UCB Celltech. Initially the company’s Senior Global Brand Director, he also served as Development and Commercialization Team Leader before being promoted to Senior Director of New Product Planning. In April 2011, Clive Spiegler began working for Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMS) in Princeton, New Jersey, as Vice President Global Commercialization - Immunology. In this position, he is again responsible for a wide range of strategic marketing initiatives.
